Our High School Students will join in with hundreds of other 9th-12th graders for 5 days to actively seek Jesus through the Bible, music, and Fun in the Sun on the Beach! They’ll be led by adult leaders from Lake Shores who’ll aim to point them to Jesus and love and support them.

What organization runs Fun in the Son Camp?
Our High School camp is called Fun in the Son and is led by Youth Conference Ministries.
Can students invite their friends?
OF COURSE! ALWAYS!
When is the final payment due?
The final payment is due May 26th.
Are scholarships available?
Scholarships are available for all Lake Shores Student Events. Please, contact Damaris Taylor (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
How will students travel there?
We will rent two 15-passenger vans to make the 7 hour trip to South Padre Island.
Should my student bring extra money? How much?
Students should bring $50-$60 for 3 meals, snacks and cool camp swag. Students will be responsible for keeping up with their money.
Are cellphones allowed on this trip?
Yes, cellphones are allowed, but students are encouraged to leave them at home. During camp we ask students not to use their phones during worship, group times, or after lights out.
What will sleeping arrangements be like?
Our group will stay at the South Padre Island Schlitterbahn Resort. The property is right on the beach!
How will prescription medicine be handled?
During drop-off/check-in on July 8th we will collect all prescription meds along with instructions. Inhalers and epipens should be kept with the student.
Will there be a parent meeting before the trip?
There is a parent meeting on May 19th from 4:30 PM -5:00 PM at Lake Shores Student Building.
